Moore's obsession with sex has officially gone over the top.
Several people have recently found their way to this site by searching for jack o'lantern stencils of the Cleveland Indians mascot. I imagine that my earlier post on the character is a disappointment--or maybe an aggravation--to those folks. I appreciate how fans of a team can be attached to the team's mascot, but I ask you: if a team mascot were a big-lipped caricature of African features, or a squinty-eyed, buck-toothed Asian cartoon, would that be OK?
Today's the two year anniversary of the AppleFoot blog. Wow--I've made 96 posts in two years. Slow down, Speedy! Pretty soon, I'll have a Technorati rank above the 3.5 million mark if I don't watch out!
As is true elsewhere in my life, I read a whole lot more than I write. I do read quite a few blogs, although nowhere near the 200-500 subscriptions I've recently seen others admit to. I have no idea how they do that.
Unsurprising to me is that I've made more posts to AppleFoot under the "flotsam" category than any other. "Flotsam" means, "I couldn't organize this into a real category, because it's just so lame."
Maybe I should repaint the place. Or maybe I should just write a little more regularly.
The Feel-Good Librarian posts infrequently, but her stories of how she makes a difference in the world are always worth reading. FGL is undergoing surgery Wednesday, February 21, and I join with many, many others online to wish her a speedy recovery.
According to the referrer logs, someone reached this blog by Googling "feeding sugar gliders splenda". Whatever they were looking for, this probably wasn't it.
